Before EXTREMELY LARGE REPAIR

This Kammer & Reinhardt 192 doll was brought to England after the second world war but more recently had been stored in a loft.  The dampness got into the paper mache body and the plaster covering had disintegrated.  It arrived in pieces, a large top leg ball joint was missing and only the head and one hand were in perfect condition.

Some considerable time was spent repairing the doll and it wasn't until we reached the restringing stage that we found it was a massive 31 inches tall.

A suitable outfit in ivory cotton voile was  made and now all the owner needs is a spare room to keep the doll in!
