Old
Teddies have cardboard joints held together by bent metal split
pins. Over the years the cardboard cracks and breaks and the metal
pins rust and break. Whilst a Teddy is in the hospital having a
joint replaced it is common sense to replace them all.
If the Teddy is for an adult then it can
be fitted with replacement cardboard joints. However, if the Teddy
is to be used by children then EEC regulations stipulate that these must
be plastic joints (which do not come apart and provide small metal parts
that may be swallowed).
