Types of Repair
(Damaged Tiny Tears Joints)

Flexible Tiny Tears joints rely on a plastic pin with a ball on the end.  The ball is held behind a circular plate in the limb and the pin is held into the body with a metal circlip or glued plastic pin.

The ball can get broken from the end of the pin and the limb falls off.  The metal circlip also tends to rust away when the dolls take a bath, a bad design feature that seems to have been cured in the more modern Tiny Tears although this adds to the repair cost because the body cup usually has to be replaced as well.

We have recently managed to find some spare parts for the leg pin joints so we can change them (rather than trying to repair them), although arm repair remains a problem.

For repair costs see prices.
